This software is a good replacement for the old Hackmaster. It can be used as an open platform for developing plugins for PalmOS by third-party developers. Dispite the fact that PalmOS is very succint it is still a little inconvenient. There are many developers that create patches for the system, some are done with Hack master but some of them are not. That is why some of them crashed the device.
After the Hack extension EVEdit was finished, it was necessary to create a new mechanism for the new patches to have trapped inside of them by their developers. These applications are called "Plugin" not "hack". You might ask, what lacks in Hack Master ?
1 - It doesn't solve conficts of hack with non hack applications.
2 - Very strict recourse requirements, example : a patch code ID must begin with 'code" resource 1000, the ID for the config panel resource must be 2000 and so on. Its very hard for a Code warrior programmer as it strictly requires "TRAP" resources.
3 - Here is an example for waste of code - When several system traps need to be replaced by a patch, some init code is required in a lot of places.
4 - Flexible programming - The SysKeyboardDialog trap is different in each version of the OS, if you wish to switch it in PalmOS 10, you need to change the SysKeyboardDialogV10 trap, when trying on PalmOS 2.0 for exampel you must replace the SysKeyboardDialog trap too, so you must provide two versions of these for each OS. When using EVEdit ( an extention for Hack Master ), such inconveniences are felt, therefore EVPlugBase was created to manage the Plugins.

I) EVPlugBase manages all the plugins that have been created by its rules. There are no conflicts between others.
II) It manages every other no-hack app which modifies system traps.
III) EVEPlugBase also has delete-protection. It stops users from deleting Plugin or HackExtentions when active, thus preventing system crashes.
IV) The SoftPenStroke function is also provided for Plugin. This will save a lot of time for patch programmers.
V) It fixes all the problems that are created due to the lack of Hack Master.
